Location sharing on every screen, and unread chats that stand out
The driver app now shares the truck's location throughout a route from whichever screen the driver is on, so the arrival times and distances the office sees in the Company Portal can use the phone's position even when the driver never opens the map. Chats with unread messages stand out, the Message tab shows the total unread, and the chat list puts Office and the route chats first. This version was released for Android on Google Play; iPhone drivers got these changes with version 2.0.12 on the App Store, on September 29, 2026.

Location sharing runs on every screen while a route has stops left
With a route assigned and stops still to do, the app now shares the truck's location from sign-in, on any screen. Before, sharing started only once the driver opened the map on the Routes tab, so a driver working from the Dashboard and the stop screens sent dispatch no location. A newly assigned route starts sharing on its own, and sharing stops once no stops are left or the driver signs out. It needs no new permission and starts only once the driver has allowed location access. On Android, a new Location tracking interval set under Settings → Driver App in the Company Portal now also applies to sharing that is already running; on iPhone, iOS decides how often the position is sent, so the interval does not apply there. Start sharing now in the app's Settings → Location Sharing shows the location notice only once.

Unread chats stand out, with the total on the Message tab
Chats with unread messages now stand out in the list on the Message tab, with the chat name in bold, and the Message tab itself shows the total number of unread messages. When you open a conversation, an 'N new messages' line marks where you left off. A chat you have already read on another device clears its count the next time the list loads, and on a shared phone each driver sees only their own counts. With RushHour platform 0.3.207 or later, the messages you send are also marked once they have been read, and once everyone in the chat has read them.

Office and route chats at the top of the chat list
The chat list on the Message tab now starts with Office as a single row, then the chats of the routes being driven under Current Route, then Archived Routes. The Archived Routes header shows how many chats it holds and folds or unfolds them with a tap, and a search always looks inside it. Order chats and direct messages follow as before. With RushHour platform 0.3.202 or later, the company-wide General Drivers chat sits just below Office.

A new route's chat opens without a manual refresh
When a route is assigned just before its chat is ready, the chat list shows a placeholder row for it that could not be opened until the driver pulled to refresh. The app now asks for the chat again by itself, and tapping the row asks again too, so the row turns into the real conversation without a manual refresh.
