Chat folders, kept unsent messages and hours-of-service alerts while you drive
Driver app 2.0.4 groups chats into folders, keeps messages that could not be sent so they can go out later, and explains when a conversation is read-only. Hours-of-service limit alerts now reach drivers away from the HOS screen, with new alerts for an overdue 30-minute break and a used-up weekly cycle, and ending the day now tells drivers when the day could not be closed instead of moving on as if it had been. This version was released for Android on Google Play; iPhone drivers got these changes with version 2.0.12 on the App Store, on September 29, 2026.

Chats are grouped into folders, and read-only chats say so
The chat list now groups conversations into Current Route, Office, Archived Routes, Orders and Direct Messages, and hides folders with nothing in them. Search also looks at each conversation's latest message. A conversation you can't post in shows a Read-only or Pending approval tag and explains why where the message box would be, for example that it is archived or that the office has not approved it yet, instead of failing when you send. The chat of a route assigned after you signed in now receives new messages without restarting the app. With RushHour platform 0.3.203 or later, the list also shows who sent each latest message and a Drivers folder for your company's Drivers chat, and drivers can keep writing in a completed route's chat.

Messages that could not be sent are kept and sent later
A chat message that could not be sent now stays in the conversation even after you leave it or close the app, so you can send it again. When the connection comes back, messages that never left the phone because there was no signal are sent automatically; others wait for you to retry. Sending the same short message twice in a row can no longer make a failed message look sent. Unsent messages belong to the driver who wrote them, so another driver signing in on the same phone doesn't see them.

Compliance & safety
Hours-of-service alerts reach you while you drive
Hours-of-service limit alerts such as Drive Limit Approaching and Drive Limit Exceeded are now checked while the app is open on any screen and, when location sharing is on, while it runs in the background, instead of only on the HOS screen. New Break Overdue and Weekly Cycle Limit Reached alerts cover a missed 30-minute break and a used-up weekly cycle, and drivers who are not driving are no longer told to stop driving. The alerts appear only when your company has Hours of Service turned on.

Ending the day tells you when it didn't go through
When you end your day, the app now checks that the day was actually closed. If it wasn't, it shows End Day Failed and stays on the step you are on so you can try again, instead of moving on as if the day had been signed off.
