A new chat look, refreshed screens, duty status changes sent sooner and in order, and clearer iPhone permission requests
Driver app 2.0.21 gives chat a new look: press and hold a message to copy, forward or save it, add emoji from the message box, and open a chat's info screen to see who is in it. Once the platform update it needs is in production, chat also adds voice and video calls, reactions, thread replies, voice messages, documents, location and order sharing, group settings, mute and end-to-end encrypted secret chats. Explore remembers your recent searches, and the side menu, Nearby Rest Stops, trainings, violations, Settings, Scanning, Notifications and DVIR screens are refreshed. The app also sends the duty status changes waiting on your phone sooner and always in the order you made them, shows on Hours Of Service how many are still waiting, now also when you have signal, tells you when one had to be discarded, and warns you in the US DOT dialog about changes that have not reached the server yet. Its location sharing explanation now also says who else can see your vehicle's position if your company uses shipment tracking links, and on iPhone its permission requests now say what the camera, photos, microphone and location are used for. It was sent to Google Play on October 7, 2026. On iPhone, Apple's upload check refused 2.0.21, so its changes came with version 2.0.25, which reached the App Store on October 9, 2026.

Chat has a new look: copy, forward and save messages, emoji, and a chat info screen
Chat has a new look. Press and hold a message to copy its text, forward it to another chat or save its photo or file to your phone. An emoji button in the message box opens an emoji picker. Tap a chat's name to open its info screen and see who is in the chat. In the chats list, a chat whose last message mentions you is marked. These work with the platform version in production today. On Android in version 2.0.21 on Google Play; on iPhone it came with version 2.0.25, on the App Store since October 9, 2026.

Chat calls, reactions, threads, voice messages, secret chats and more, with the platform update
With platform 0.3.218 or later, chat adds voice and video calls from a chat, emoji reactions, thread replies, editing and deleting your own messages, voice messages, documents, sharing your location or an order, link previews, a group photo, name, auto-delete and added members, muting a chat, online status, and end-to-end encrypted secret chats. The app offers each of these only when the platform it is connected to supports it; until then chat works as described in the entry above. The Android test (stage) build already shows them, because the stage platform has them. Version 2.0.21 on Google Play includes them and will offer them once the production platform has them; on iPhone, version 2.0.25, on the App Store since October 9, 2026, does the same.

Duty status changes waiting on your phone are sent sooner and always in order
Duty status changes waiting on your phone, for example from a stretch without signal, are now sent as soon as the app can: when you sign in or open the app, when you come back to it, when signal returns on any screen, when you open Hours Of Service or go back to it, every minute while the app is open, and before a new change you make with signal. Before, they were sent only when signal returned while Hours Of Service was loaded, when you tapped Retry sync, or when you signed out. When you change your status with signal while earlier changes are still waiting, the app sends those first; if any is still waiting, your new change is saved on the phone and sent after them, so the server gets your changes in the order you made them. Before, it was sent at once, and an earlier change arriving later could replace it as your current status. While a change waits, Hours Of Service keeps showing it as your current status, also after the app restarts. With signal, it now also shows how many are waiting, such as "2 duty status changes waiting to sync", with Retry sync; without signal, the offline banner shows the count as before. If the server keeps refusing a change, the app discards it and tells you so, usually with a "Sync Failed" message, now also when that happened in the background (shown when you come back) or as you sign out. Send Information to US DOT now warns you when changes have not reached the server yet and so will not be in that transmission. On Android in version 2.0.21 on Google Play; on iPhone it came with version 2.0.25, on the App Store since October 9, 2026.

The location sharing explanation says who else can see your vehicle's position
The explanation you see before allowing location access, and on Settings → Location Sharing, now also says that if your company uses shipment tracking links, anyone with an order's tracking link (for example, that order's customer) can see roughly where your vehicle is while that order has stops still to do on your active route, and may see its exact position when you are heading to that order's stop. Every earlier sentence is unchanged. On Android in version 2.0.21 on Google Play; on iPhone it came with version 2.0.25, on the App Store since October 9, 2026.

Refreshed screens: Explore remembers your searches, plus a new side menu, rest stop cards and trainings list
Explore now remembers your recent searches under Previous Searches. They belong to the signed-in driver and are cleared when you sign out, so the next driver on a shared phone does not see them. The side menu has a search field and shows your name and email above Logout. Nearby Rest Stops shows new cards with a photo thumbnail and the address. Trainings are listed in one column with each training's progress, and the suggested trainings under Violations have a See all link to that list. Each violation shows where it happened. The Settings, Scanning, Notifications and DVIR screens are clearer, and the DVIR header shows the vehicle plate. On Android in version 2.0.21 on Google Play; on iPhone it came with version 2.0.25, on the App Store since October 9, 2026.

On iPhone, permission requests say what the camera, photos, microphone and location are used for
On iPhone, when the app asks for access to your camera, photo library, microphone or location, the message now says what the app uses it for and gives an example. For instance, the camera message names photographing delivered freight at the dock as proof of delivery and scanning a shipment barcode, and the background location message explains that dispatch can see your truck on the live map while your phone is locked in its mount. You see these messages when the app asks for a permission you have not answered yet. Android is unchanged. It came with version 2.0.25, on the App Store since October 9, 2026.
