The rebuilt driver app: a new design and a step-by-step flow at every stop

Version 2.0 is the rebuilt RushHour driver app, released for Android. Drivers get a new design, a rebuilt step-by-step flow for every pickup and delivery that follows your company's Driver App settings, rebuilt vehicle inspections, and group chats with other drivers. On Android, opening a map in 2.0.0 closed the app; 2.0.1 fixes it. iPhone drivers got the rebuilt app with version 2.0.12 on the App Store, on September 29, 2026.

    A redesigned driver app

The driver app is rebuilt with a new design and five tabs: Dashboard, Stops, Routes, HOS and Message. The HOS tab appears when your company uses Hours of Service. The Dashboard shows the day's job counts (total addresses, yet to start, in progress and completed), with arrows and a date picker to look at other days, the next stop with a button to continue it, a reminder when an inspection is due, and shortcuts to inspections, issue reports, nearest amenities and expenses. The search in the header finds any screen in the app, the bell lists the driver's notifications, and Appearance in Settings switches between light mode, dark mode and the phone's setting. Expense logging with receipt photos, password reset with an emailed code and the About screen from the 1.1 app are all part of 2.0.

Location details and instructions appear under the stop address

Under each stop's address, the app shows the Location Details (for example a suite or dock) and the Instructions saved on the location in the Company Portal (for example a gate code or buzzer name). Both are open by default, and a long note can be collapsed so it does not hide the rest of the stop.

Start group chats with other drivers

On the Message tab, drivers can start a group chat with other drivers who are working on the same orders right now. The Office chat and the chat for each assigned route stay at the top of the list, and the search button finds a chat by name.

Pickups and deliveries run as one rebuilt step-by-step flow

The stop screens are rebuilt as one guided flow that takes the driver through the steps in order. At a pickup: confirm the items, check planned against actual counts when they differ, photograph the goods, confirm the stop details, add charges, scan the paperwork, capture a signature and rate the location. At a delivery: unload, marking missing or damaged items with a note and a photo, then the same photo, charges, paperwork and signature steps. When freight is to be paid at the stop, the app shows the amount due, the driver photographs both sides of a check, and at a pickup can record a cash payment. The steps still follow Settings → Driver App in the Company Portal: a step you switch off is skipped, and a delivery asks for a photo or a signature only when you require one. An unfinished stop can be resumed where the driver left off.

  • Compliance & safety

Vehicle inspections rebuilt as a guided flow

The vehicle inspection is rebuilt as a guided flow: the driver enters the plate number and odometer reading, photographs the outside of the truck, marks each check as acceptable or damaged (a damaged item needs a comment) and signs. Yes/no checks your company adds in Settings → Driver App appear with the standard ones. Past inspections are listed under DVIR'S in Settings, and when your company requires an inspection at the start of the shift, the Dashboard reminds the driver to do it before driving, including after a change of vehicle.
